The 33rd annual Ordinandi Dinner will take place on the evening of Thursday, March 9 at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton.

This year’s dinner, organized by local Serra International clubs, will see eight transitional deacons sharing their vocation stories with more than 1,000 people from the larger Church community as they themselves prepare for their upcoming priestly ordinations.

The Ordinandi class of 2023 includes men who studied at St. Augustine’s Seminary as well as Redemptoris Mater Seminary and after ordained priests, will serve in their home dioceses:

Mirko Ljuba, Carlos Alberto Torres Marquez, Matthew Cole Powers, Sean Raphael Jacob, and Savio Antonio Bruto da Costa from the Archdiocese of Toronto; Michael Chris El-Nachef from the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall; Peter Long Hien Tran and Joseph Son Quang Do from the diocese of Bui Chu in Vietnam.

Earlier in the same day, the Ordinandi will have the opportunity to share their path to the priesthood with youth during the day program, targeted at students of the various Catholic school boards from across the archdiocese. It is an opportunity for students to hear from the Ordinandi and ask any questions they may have on vocational discernment.

Both the day and the evening program will be attended by His Eminence Cardinal Thomas Collins.
